We've assembled a team of Internet veterans who've helped create some of the most globally successful scalable platforms, technology products, services and brands.

Anil H.P. Pereira, Founder/President & CEO

Anil incubated SecondSpace as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Ignition Partners. Previously, he was SVP of New Businesses and International at Classmates.com where he formed Classmates Europe. Anil led the (first) shelved IPO at Classmates, prior to the company's sale to United Online (NASDAQ: UNTD).

From 1997-2003, Anil ran Corporate Marketing at VeriSign and also served as EVP and General Manager of the Enterprise Division, launching numerous high-growth businesses which generated hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue. He was part of the VeriSign IPO team and participated in over a dozen strategic acquisitions. Anil created the VeriSign Secure Site seal, the ubiquitous sign of secure e-commerce on the Web today. Previously, he spent 7 years at American Express in New York where he served as VP of Affinity Cards, Director of New Products and head of Direct Response TV, building 1-800-THE-CARDŽ into a national brand. Anil began his career at Accenture (then known as Andersen Consulting) and knows enough about programming to be dangerous.

Anil has served on the boards and advisory boards of a number of high technology leaders including Trumba, Neoteris, Air2Web, SF Interactive and Index Ventures. He holds a B. Mgt. (with great distinction) from the University of Lethbridge, where he was named Alumnus of the Year in 2000, and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Fishman-Davidson Fellow and Dean's Award recipient. Anil and his family create their SecondSpace™ memories at a beautiful ocean retreat in British Columbia and at a resort community on Maui. His father, a former President of the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board, taught him everything he knows about lifestyle real estate.

Alok Sinha, Co-Founder and CTO

Alok spent 17 years at Microsoft as a senior technical leader. Most recently, he was Product Unit Manager for Windows Driver Kits where he managed the development of some of the core technologies for Windows device drivers. Prior to this position, Alok spent three years as the co-founder and Product Unit Manager of MSN Mobile which included the MSN wireless portal with Hotmail ,MSN Messenger, and address book communication services.

Alok was the co-founder and development manager of Microsoft's HomeAdvisor web service where he built the home listing engine and a highly scalable, real-time mortgage underwriting platform which revolutionized the mortgage broker industry. Alok's other positions within Microsoft included roles within MSN Communities, Microsoft Start, MSN Internet Access (MSNIA), Microsoft Interactive TV (MSiTV), Windows NT, OS/2, and LAN Manager.

Alok holds dual MS degrees from the University of Alaska (UAF) in Computer Science and Mining Engineering. He holds a Bachelor of Technology from Banaras Hindu University (IT-BHU). Alok has secured nine patents, authored over a dozen technical papers, thesis projects, and the book "Network Programming in Windows NT."

Tim O'Neil, Chief Financial Officer

Tim leads the finance and administration organization at SecondSpace and brings extensive experience to the role, having previously served as CFO of two public companies. Prior to joining SecondSpace, Tim served as Chief Financial Officer of Loud Technologies (NASDAQ: LTEC), a world-recognized loudspeaker and audio equipment company with over $200M in revenues (brands include Alvarez, Ampeg, Crate and others). At Loud, Tim managed all finance and administration functions, was a leader in several M&A transactions and helped usher in a new level of profitability for the company.

Prior to Loud, Tim was Chief Financial Officer of Trendwest Resorts (NASDAQ:TWRI) which marketed, sold, and financed timeshare vacation ownership interests and developed the Suncadia all-season resort community in the Southern Cascade Mountains of Washington. At Trendwest, Tim served as a member of the executive team which grew the company to $600 million in revenues, 4000 employees, and an $800 million consumer loan portfolio with over 100,000 customers under management. Trendwest was acquired by Cendant Corporation in 2002, creating over a billion dollars in shareholder value. Tim began his finance career in corporate banking, spending 10 years with Bank One Corporation as a Vice President and corporate relationship manager. He holds a BA in Business Administration from John Carroll University and an MBA from the University of Detroit.

Satbir Khanuja, SVP Marketing and Business Development

Satbir heads marketing, business development, major partnerships and affiliate marketing at SecondSpace. Prior to joining the company, Satbir spent 7 years at Amazon.com as a member of the executive team. Most recently, he was Head of Amazon's Worldwide Traffic organization and was responsible for driving billions of dollars in sales through free and paid traffic to all Amazon websites worldwide. Previously, he was Vice President and General Manager of Amazon"’s IMDb.com and In-Theater businesses where he created all business functions and built the division into one of the 50 most trafficked web sites in the world. Prior to Amazon.com, Satbir spent several years as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company where he led projects in several industries, including electronics and banking. He holds a Ph.D. in Ceramics Engineering from MIT and a B.Tech. degree from IIT in Bombay, India.

Gary Cowan, Director of Product Management

Gary heads all product marketing and direct marketing activities at SecondSpace. Prior to joining, he was at Amazon.com where he was responsible for driving over $2 billion in revenue through search engine optimization, sponsored links and landing page optimization initiatives. Previously, Gary spent three years at Microsoft where he served most recently as Director of Search for MSN and was also a Group Product Manager in the Windows Division. Before joining Microsoft, Gary spent four years with RealNetworks where he held various senior marketing positions. Earlier in his career he held various management positions with CSR Sugar, Osborne Computers and LEK Consultancy. Gary holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from Queensland University in Australia.

Delane Hewett, Architect

Delane is the senior technologist responsible for the architecture underlying SecondSpace's web services platform and network of destination web sites. He brings over 20 years of experience to the company, having served as an architect and development lead at Microsoft and previously at Boeing. At Microsoft, he launched highly scalable web services including MSN Shopping and MSN HomeAdvisor and award-winning software developer tools including Visual Studio. Delane has authored eight patents and published countless technical papers. He holds an MS in Computer Science from George Washington University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University. He and his family create traditions and lifelong memories at their lakefront retreat in Washington State.

Terron Lindholme, Director of Sales

As the Director of Sales for SecondSpace, Terron Lindholme is now immersed in his fourth career startup company. His previous successes include serving as a founder of MagicSoft Inc., where Terron invented spellchecking and clipboard software solutions which are currently used in Microsoft Office. He also co-founded Einstein Systems Inc. for which he designed several acclaimed national web sites, and co-founded CognitiveDATA Inc., a highly successful direct marketing/data base software company, where he served as EVP of sales. Terron holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and also studied psychology at Clark College in Dubuque, Iowa.
